The Quileute had various other myths, According to Quileute Indian legends, two monsters met on occasion in massive battle at the boundary between Elwha and Quileute territory. Equally matched, they devastated a huge area and wounded one another grievously, but neither ever killed the other. After the last such fight, both monsters hobbled home to caves, walled themselves in, and cried over their injuries. The steaming hot tears of both have run off of their dens and amassed to make the Sol Duc and Olympic hot springs. The Quileute named the monster whose tears make the Sol Duc Hot Springs a'lakil "the monster who cries in the woods".
In popular legend, a bloodsucking creature that rises from its burial place at night, sometimes in the form of a bat, to drink the blood of humans.
By daybreak it must return to its grave or to a coffin filled with its native earth. Tales of vampires are part of the world's folklore, most notably in Hungary and the Balkan Peninsula. The disinterment in Serbia in 1725 and 1732 of several fluid-filled corpses that villagers claimed were behind a plague of vampirism led to widespread interest and imaginative treatment of vampirism throughout western Europe. Vampires are supposedly dead humans (originally suicides, heretics, or criminals) who maintain a kind of life by biting the necks of living humans and sucking their blood; their victims also become vampires after death. These “undead” creatures cast no shadow and are not reflected in mirrors. They can be warded off by crucifixes or wreaths of garlic and can be killed by exposure to the sun or by an oak stake driven through the heart.
La Push Reservation, near Forks, Washington, is very real. Modern now, with resorts and a new marina, the Quileute are still very active in La Push. Quileute Days in July incorporate tribal traditions, like dancing and arts and crafts, with modern fun, like a softball tournament. A great source for additional information on the Quileute Tribe today, and La Push, is the forks-web.com page on the Quileute Tribe. In the Quileute folklore, it is told that Quileute Indians are descended from wolves. Quileute legends also suggest that a mythological human being, their creator, has three titles such as, The Transformer, The Changer and The Trickster. The first native of the Quileute tribe was created by this mythical creator or character called Dokibatt and K’wa’iti, this was the myth stated by Quileute. This creation story is explained beautifully in the Twilight book series. Initially there were six tribal societies namely, elk hunter, whale hunter, fisherman, medicine man and the weather predictor. The medicine man was the one who pleased the transmitter with the wolf dance.
The author of the Twilight book series has tried to be true to the actual Quileute folklore like the Breaking Dawn, New Moon, Twilight and the Eclipse but only the vampires referred to as “The Cold Ones” are the exception for this. After the book was published and then there was the release of the movie Twilight which also featured these vampires.
Beliefs
The beliefs of the Quileute People have changed over time. They originally were a very spiritual people. The boys would go on quests to find their supernatural power once they reached puberty, if they wanted to. They would perform the first salmon ceremony to ensure a good season. They believed that each person had their own guardian and they would pray to it, along with the sun and Tsikáti (the universe). Much of their original religion was lost and forgotten after the Europeans came. James Island, an island visible from First Beach, has played a role in all aspects of Quileute beliefs and culture. Originally called "A-Ka-Lat" ("Top of the Rock"), it was used as a fortress to keep opposing tribes out and served as a burial ground for chiefs.
I think this is entirely a discussion happened between me and my friends about the choosing the topic for novels. There my friend told many things which I had surprised to listen. Some of them are. It doesn’t mean that we are raising questions or problems. Its just like a small debate occurred between us.
As the movie released, some can enjoy the movie and some can explore the movie whether the stuff shown is genuine one or it’s just an assumption of the author or the director of the movie. Days passed away, some people would even search of it through internet resources to get the matter and some sites even encourage people to discuss with the concerned matters. But some people won’t agree or encourage others to discuss with the concerned matters rather than exploit the matter with another one.
The story or the novel discussed by the author consists mostly the genre whether its based on fiction, adventure, love or romantic one. In all this views the author can pick up his own genre of choosing the novel or writing the novel and explains it both in his view and related to cultural and common things which happening in daily lives. To get more information about their novels and to improve their stuff in their works they add most genuine information occurring in daily human lives with some discussion. The author can’t explain the situations directly, may be by the hero or heroine. Or even the author discuss those matters by himself or based on the perspective of the novel.
For instance in the movie Twilight, about the Quileute legends, the author and some sites, some saying there is no stuff like that , some say like there is no cold ones like that. Why the human or the authors can’t write their novels with these old stuff of legendary folklores or mythologies. For instance there is no such cold ones also, but the author can think and write the novel with false ones. The human only creates situations in novels and he only chases it. At first he told that they are rubbish and again he discovered those one.
Is there any book or movie consists of entirely about the other planets works or lives. The human can search old things and use in an efficient way and delicate way in order to get income or bidding on that. Why the authors use a word or character in their works and left a blank question to viewers and listeners about the existence of rarely creature…??
I think the cold ones exists. But some don’t know whether they are existed in old mythologies. Scientifically the man cant estimate a thing in genuine or he can’t able to give a chance that the invented one works without any sort of bugs or problems.
Some sites providing information about the place La Push having hotels and some other sort of things with folk dances. That’s because it’s a tourist place. Without knowing the old mythological stories of culture and their civilization, how the people can survive in La Push city. In this entire world, every thing exists. But some gets hidden by somebody due to scary or by any force by government or law. I think vampire also exists. If its just a folklore, or a just a myth, then why does the people in La Push can participating in the folk dances. It just an expose of their old legendary livings and their old civilizations and cultures just in the form of dance.
Now I will tell one thing about the technology or any other gadget used by other planets or other universe people. But none can hear it, rather they think its joke. Even the NASA had invented many Flying Saucers which are quite fast in travelling without any sort of technology. Their the people got heavy doubts about the UFO. Many Tv channels had broadcasted with different graphics with different information which are false.
What ever the human thinks, is definitely exists but somehow kept it in disguise.
In conclusion, I came to tell that all the legendary in this world can exists. But somehow they gone unknown.
Please regret me if spelling or grammatical mistakes occurred.
good job.. new topics to me
